A visit from the Mayor of Gilbert
November 10, 2008La Calabria Ristorante is so honored that the Mayor of Gilbert, Steve Berman, has been coming to see us for lunch. It is so great to have him to support us, he knows just how important small businesses are to us and our local community. He has also added us to his blog which is very exciting. Although it is great to have him to help get the word out about La Calabria he is also a great customer.

November 10, 2008La Calabria Ristorante is a great local restaurant owned my Clara and Giovanni with a great “mom and pop” feel. La Calabria opened on August 1,2008. Giovanni, who is from Calabria, makes almost all the food from scratch. In Calabria the Italian dishes are more red sauce based and spicyand Giovanni makes all of his dishes as authentic as they are in Calabria, Italy. These tasty Italian dishes range from salad, veal and chicken to seafood. They have amazing desserts as well, homemade cheesecake and tiramisu. La Calabria Ristorante has a full bar with imported Italian wine.
The restaurant has a great Italian atmosphere from the decor to the music. It is a great place to bring your family for lunch or dinner. La Calabria is becoming a very popular restaurant and was even on Channel 3 News. It is located at 1534 E. Ray Rd, Gilbert AZ 85296 on Val Vista and Ray Rd, behind Discount Tire. La Calabria is open for lunch Tuesday thru Friday 11-2 and for dinner from 4-9, Saturday 4-10 and Sunday 1-8 for dinner ( with the exception of scheduled meetings or parties).
